Discount Master for WooCommerce is a dynamic-pricing plugin that applies automatic, rule-based discounts to your store, with no coupon codes for customers to remember. Discounts fire the moment a cart matches your conditions. This guide covers installing the free plugin and (optionally) adding Discount Master Pro.

Before you begin

  • WordPress 5.2 or later
  • PHP 7.4 or later
  • WooCommerce installed and active
  • An Administrator account on your site
WooCommerce is required

Discount Master is declared with Requires Plugins: woocommerce. WordPress will not let it activate unless WooCommerce is installed and active first, because every discount rule works against the WooCommerce cart.

Method 1: Install from the WordPress plugin directory

  1. Open the plugin installer In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins › Add New.
  2. Search for the plugin Type Discount Master into the search box.
  3. Install Find Discount Master for WooCommerce by PrecisionWP and click Install Now.
  4. Activate When the button changes to Activate, click it.

A Discount Master item now appears in your WordPress admin menu.

Method 2: Upload the plugin ZIP manually

  1. Download the ZIP Save discount-master-for-woocommerce.zip somewhere you can find it.
  2. Open the uploader Go to Plugins › Add New and click Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the file and install Select your ZIP and click Install Now.
  4. Activate On the next screen, click Activate Plugin.

Installing Discount Master Pro

Discount Master Pro is an add-on that unlocks extra action types (shipping discounts, apply-coupon, free gifts, tiered pricing) and many more conditions (user roles, specific users, order history, total spent, product attributes, payment gateway, coupon, shipping method). It runs alongside the free plugin.

Pro requires WooCommerce and the free plugin

Pro is declared with Requires Plugins: woocommerce, discount-master-for-woocommerce, so both must be installed and active before Pro will activate. Always install the free plugin first.

  1. Confirm the free plugin is active Check that Discount Master appears under Plugins › Installed Plugins.
  2. Download and upload Pro Download discount-master-for-woocommerce-pro.zip from your PrecisionWP account, then go to Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin and install it.
  3. Activate and enter your license key Activate Pro, then add your license key so the plugin can receive automatic updates. Pro options then appear as additional action and condition types inside the discount wizard.

Verifying the installation

Once active, open the Discount Master menu. You should see three areas:

DiscountsCreate, edit, reorder, and manage your automatic discount rules.
SettingsGlobal display options: Cross Subtotal, Cross Total, and the “You Saved” row.
ToolsImport and export your discount rules as CSV.
