A discount that customers can see is a discount that sells. Discount Master gives you two layers of control over presentation: per-rule Display options in the discount wizard, and global Settings for savings indicators. None of these change the calculation, they only change what the shopper sees.
Per-rule Display options
The Display tab of each discount controls where that rule’s discounted pricing appears.
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Single product pages | Shows the discounted price badge on individual product pages. |
| Product archives | Shows the discounted price on shop and category listings. |
| Cart | Shows discounted pricing in the cart table. |
| Checkout | Shows discounted pricing in the checkout order review. |
| Show Bulk Discount Table | Displays the tier table on product pages (tiered-action rules only). |
| Show discount action as cart item meta | Adds a “Discount: …” line under the product in the cart, checkout, thank-you page, emails, and My Account. Shown for product-level actions. Default ON. |
| Show discount action as order meta | Adds a “Discount: …” row to the order totals for cart-level actions. Default ON. |
The cart-item-meta toggle only appears when the rule has a product-level action; the order-meta toggle only appears for cart-level actions. A rule that mixes both shows both toggles. Rules saved before these toggles existed behave as ON, re-save a rule to opt out.
Global savings indicators (Settings)
Under Discount Master › Settings you control store-wide savings displays.
- Enable Cross Subtotal – shows the original subtotal with a strikethrough next to the discounted subtotal.
- Enable Cross Total – shows the original total with a strikethrough next to the discounted total.
- Enable “You Saved” – adds a row below the total showing how much the customer saved.
- Custom Text – replaces the default label; use
%sas the placeholder for the amount, e.g.You saved %s today! - Round Amount – rounds the displayed savings to the nearest whole number.
Cross Subtotal and Cross Total render the strikethrough only when a discount rule has actually applied to the current cart, a published, matching rule that produced savings greater than zero. Enabling the toggle alone will not show a strikethrough on an undiscounted cart.
