Discount rules can take real effort to build. The Tools screen lets you export them to a CSV file for safekeeping, and import them back, so you can back up your configuration or move it between sites.

Export your rules

  1. Open Tools Go to Discount Master › Tools.
  2. Export Click Export Discounts to download all of your rules as a single .csv file.

Keep this file as a backup, or use it to copy rules to another store.

Import rules

  1. Choose a file On the Tools screen, click Choose File and select a .csv previously exported from Discount Master.
  2. Import Click Import Discounts. The rules are added to your existing rules, nothing is overwritten.
Use Discount Master CSVs only

Only .csv files exported by Discount Master are supported, and you should not change the column structure before importing. An edited or foreign CSV can fail to import or create malformed rules.

A clean staging-to-production workflow

Build and test your promotions on a staging site, export them, then import on production. Because import adds rather than overwrites, review the live list afterward and deactivate any duplicates.
