Types of Discount Actions

1. Product-Level Discounts

These actions apply directly to individual products in the cart.

  • Percentage off product price
    • Deducts a percentage from the price of eligible products.
    • Example: “10% off all electronics.”
  • Fixed amount off product price
    • Deducts a fixed amount from the price of eligible products.
    • Example: “$5 off each T-shirt.”

2. Cart-Level Discounts

These actions apply to the entire cart, either on the subtotal or total.

Cart Subtotal Discounts

  • Percentage off cart subtotal
    • Deducts a percentage from the subtotal (before taxes and shipping).
    • Example: “15% off orders over $100.”
  • Fixed amount off cart subtotal
    • Deducts a fixed amount from the subtotal.

Cart Total Discounts
